The Good Thing About Fitness Bootcamp

By Shirley Ross

There are various kinds of business that you can go out there without gaining some perspective regarding this before we can see through them. If those methods are utilized about it, the better we are in handling some details about it.

You should also need to know what are the kind of fitness that you wish to acquire more about. Fitness bootcamp Vermont are pretty cool on this and you should at least give you enough ideas on how to go about this method whenever that is beneficial. If you are gaining some perspective about this, the better we could carry into them.

Ensuring that you are gaining some ideas regarding this will make the best out of this without handling that notions prior we can carry into this. If we can realize that thought about, the greater we seem in making concepts go guide yourself through. For sure, maintaining that thoughts before we can improve that thoughts before we realize that about.

You must at least try to question the ideas that are there that you can carry into that notion before you could try to do more regarding this. Mostly, we have a good view on what is there to reconsider and how those results are realized about. Keeping up with that will give you enough reasons as to where you could get to this.

We can find stuffs on the web, but it will also improve how those mechanics are realized before you can seek through the thoughts before you are gaining perspective regarding this and how to realize them into. If we are able to consider them the right way, the more we can handle that though before you guide them through it before you carry that out.

It might be a bit beneficial we can look into them and how those results are realized more about. If we can learn something out there, the more we should get to that and maximize those kind of ideas before we could see that notions into. If that is something that will reassist us with this, the greater we are in molding those implications too.

Focusing on those ideas are hard enough to consider before we know that there are rules we could handle that about. Getting into that part will seek through the parts and maximize those thoughts before we are putting enough factors to hold through it. In that way, you will have a good manner to know what is real regarding this.

Maintaining some few details regarding this, the more we can carry into this and hope we are gaining some perspective to hold through it and make the most out of this. If those concepts are used, then it will ensure we are making a few thought to consider about.

Look through the points and it will be a good shot that we can reconsider about. For sure, those methods that we can handle are great enough to consider.

WHY IS HEALTH TOO SMALL A THING FOR THEIR PLANS AND MANIFESTOS

A nation full of unhealthy citizens, is unhealthy in itself.

Everywhere you go in Nigeria at the moment, the only thing you hear is "CHANGE", "POSITIVE CHANGE". The February 2015 election draws so near, every political party with their aspiring candidates has tuned to the lyrics of this 'change' music, "all I want to bring is change". . .

This has become a tradition, Nigerians are used to it. But is the coming tenure going to be any better than the ones Nigeria has seen over the decades?
After careful listening, studying and reviewing of the manifestos and 'proposed' visions of the aspiring presidential candidates for Nigeria, it so saddens me that there's not even an iota of plan for the HEALTH of the Nigerian citizens.

LET'S ANALYZE THIS TOGETHER

• Despite Nigeria being the 24th largest economy in the world, per capita income is low; Nigerians continue to struggle with poverty, inequality and electricity shortages.

The Nigeria health sector is beset with so many problems; doctors are on strike, scores of lives have been lost due to this breakdown. An average Nigerian using government hospitals is now forced to seek expensive treatment at private ones, adding to the increasing poverty status of the country, yet no one is talking about this.

• For decades now, the Nigeria health care system remains inefficient, stagnant and deteriorating by the day. I'm still yet to find a plan on someone's agenda to fix this problem.

• Nigeria remains the only African country still battling with polio. Nigeria is ranked 4th among the 22 worst affected countries in the world and the first in Africa. As such, about 460,000 new TB cases occur yearly in Nigeria, yet we're talking about 'change'.

• The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), which is meant to see that every Nigerian citizen has access to free health care, has failed in a huge way, and is even majorly supported by NGOs and Donor/Volunteering organizations, not the government.

• Pharmaceutical drugs  get destroyed in stored places. Why? Something has gone wrong - against the 'store in cool and dry place' warning on their labels. These drugs have been heated up, due to poor power supply which is meant to enable storage in a good environment with an ideal temperature. These drugs - whose chemical structures have been altered - are sold to 'unknowing' citizens. They buy and use; the end result is worse than the beginning. This has resulted in more deaths (especially in children), than the illness itself.

• Nigeria's public health care system lacks enough skilled man power as a result of the "brain drain" syndrome. Nigerian medical practitioners are leaving in search for greener pastures (a more enabling environment).

• Infant mortality rates have been increasing from 85 per 1000 live births in 1982, to 87 in 1990, 93 in 1991, 100 in 2003, according to the Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey, 2003. In 2007, the Federal Ministry of Health reported 110 deaths per 1000 live births.

• Nigeria's under-five mortality rate is 197 deaths per 1000 live births, and HIV, malaria and diarrheal disease account for about a quarter of the deaths among adults (and malaria in children). Now, new reported cases of flu in some regions have added to the number.

We can go on and on non-stop on this issue, but here's something:

If 'anyone' leader wants true change for his nation, he starts by putting the nation's citizens - his followers - on their feet first. A leader of sick people is a sick person himself, and his nations is 'clinically' dead.

Health is wealth, they say. If a 'manifesto' or 'vision' has all the money to spread around, but not to health reforms, then it becomes a situation where we all have to queue or lie in hospital beds, instead of being at our work places or educational environments. Oh! Sorry, which hospitals?!

You talk of security, economy, etc, if a good percentage of the Nigerian Military/Navy/Air-force/
Police, are down with an epidemic, then who stands to raise the guns?

It's time we started talking about 'real change' instead of 'recycled change' - same things, same processes, but different administrators. Change is only going to come when Nigeria itself is healthy.

Let's be health mindful.

One Thing Yoga Zen Whatever

by Nina
Zen Jewel by Torei Enji
Last night I was thinking about someone close to me who is going through hard times—struggling with rather serious depression. Although he exercises regularly, he doesn't take yoga classes. He's considering starting, though, and naturally I'm the go-to expert on that topic so I spent some time reading up on the studios in his area in an attempt to help. But when it came down to it, I surprised myself by recommending a Zen center in his area instead of a yoga studio. That's because I felt that if he was going to do one thing for himself—in addition to western style therapy—it should be a practice that would reduce his stress levels. Stress, of course, can exacerbate or even cause depression and I know his lifestyle is stressful. And Zen style meditation is a great way to switch your nervous system from Stress mode to Relaxation mode, and to teach you to cultivate equanimity in the face of challenges.

Still, why, when I have been writing about yoga for stress management practically since Day 1 (see The Relaxation Response and Yoga) wouldn't I recommend yoga? Well, the truth is that most yoga classes (like the ones in his neighborhood) are merely exercise classes. They don't teach meditation, pranayama or any forms of conscious relaxation, except maybe a brief Savasana at the end of a sweaty flow class. Gosh, one studio was even offering something called arial yoga, which looked kind of like Cirque du Soleil. That might be fun but those acrobatic techniques didn't really seem like the most helpful skills for him to be cultivating at this point.  I felt in the end that at least some basic instruction in meditation from an experienced teacher—and I knew he needed in-person instruction not just YFHA written instructions—and a group to practice with in beautiful, peaceful room would be more helpful to him than trying to learn to jump into Chaturanga Dandasana.  It's kind of sad but I just didn't trust those unknown yoga teachers whose bios I read online to teach him the kind of yoga I felt he needed at this time. I know that fancy poses and the promise of a "yoga body" are what sells yoga these days but some really valuable techniques sure seem to be getting short shrift in the meantime.

Well, that's my mini rant for the day. But I do want to add that if you're going through some difficult times yourself and you want to try just one thing, do something to bring your stress levels down—yoga (see here), Zen, whatever. Besides, the Buddha himself was a yogi, right?

Why Hiring Portland Midwife Is A Good Thing To Most Expectant Women

By Gwen Lowe

After a matrimonial wedding of couples, they are always in expecting mood to have children. This is true in many communities where children are considered a blessing from God. Mostly, children enhance the strong bond between couples and they also bring a lot of happiness in their lives. When the period to give birth approaches, couples always ensures they have the support of midwives to help them conceive safely. The services of Portland midwife ensure the process proceeds first and safely.

For this reason, it is therefore imperative to understand who the midwives are. This would be good especially for people who do not know midwives. To begin with, midwives are medical specialists who have much knowledge in labor pains, childbirth and normal pregnancies. The greatest responsibility of midwives is to look for the expectant women and their children or newborns.

Many people admire to know up to when the midwives would stay with them. Most midwives would take care of the pregnant women until they give birth to their beautiful children. However, they would stay with you and the child for not more than 28 days. Within this time, they would give every care to your child and help them with the environment suitable for their growth during this time.

You would need to know that there are two types of midwives. There is the hospital midwives and the community midwives. Hospital midwives are those who work in the hospital environment in most of their time. They would work in the antenatal clinics, postnatal, wards, and labor wards as well. Moreover, you would also find them in the birth centers and childbirth consultant units.

Community midwives work with pregnant women in their respective homes. This means that pregnant women would not need to look for these specialists, but the vice versa. Most women would call in these midwives when they are in their labor-intensive stage at their homes. The midwives would them go with the right tools of work to facilitate normal child delivery to the hopeful mother.

What you would realize is that midwives are more open to family issues that doctors are. For this reason, most women would ask them all the questions that they would not otherwise have the courage to ask their doctors. Most of these questions would revolve around family control techniques. Most midwives would be lenient with the expectant women in terms of giving options to choose where they would wish to deliver. While midwives would allow the women to deliver at home, doctors would be categorical in directing them to deliver at the hospital.

In getting the right midwives for you, you ought to think about whether they are enthusiastic for the employment or they are after money. Conceiving an infant is a serious and delicate process that requires the pregnant mother to have great care and attention from midwives. It is therefore to hire midwives with great skills.

You would also need to look for midwives with great experience. Midwives who have worked with pregnant women for many years would provide the most exclusive services. In case you do not have anyone in mind, you may consult your friends for recommendation. Friends and family members would recommend the best midwives to you at such a time.
