Why do we eat Oysters

It all depends on what each individual is looking for. Some said that they are good for your sexual life. However, more importantly, Oyster contains a huge amount of zinc, which is a necessary mineral to boost our immune system and also, great for testosterone production. All humans need testosterone. They said human sperm has 800 times more zinc than our blood.

It is quite difficult to source for zinc in vegetables and fruits. So far, pumpkin seeds are the only known source. But again, one has to consume so much of it, in order to meet the body's requirement. Our human bodies needs zinc. It is vital for the immune system, hormone production and the endocrine system. Should one finds that their energy levels are low, or their sex drive ... one should know what to do !!!!

Unfortunately, it is advisable to eat boiled, or grilled oysters nowadays. Unless, you knew the original source from where the oysters came from, you may eat them raw, from time to time.  In view of all the pollution in the sea because of oil spillage and other toxic contaminations, it is best to cook the oysters to eliminate those troublesome  bacteria.

Otherwise, oysters are also considered as a low-energy-density food. They have few calories and will be a big help to put you off, from your extra weight. Oysters are low in fat and high in protein. They are high in omega-3 fatty acids, potassium, magnesium and vitamin E, which are playing a major role in lowering your blood pressure and reduce your risk of having stroke, or heart attack. Additionally, omega-3 fatty acids can also improve blood cholesterol levels and reduce inflammation and thus, is another huge help to lower your risk of heart, or cardiovascular disease while vitamin E (a superb anti-oxidant) will protect your cell membranes from free-radical damage.

Most people ............. either love eating them, or hate them. But, for those who simply adore eating them, do take note ........ there is always a limit in eating them. Too much of something can also be bad for our health too.
